Heart Health Supplement Powder: What a Scoop Really Tells You
A heart health supplement powder is a mix you stir into water, sold by the scoop. The label serving may be 5 to 15 grams, so check the scoop, not the tub. Melonex is not a powder, gummy or liquid. It is a capsule: one 500 mg proprietary blend per serving, 60 servings per bottle.

What is a heart health supplement powder?
It is a dry mix, usually flavored, that you stir into water or a drink. The heart claim sits on the tub; the facts sit on the back.
Powders suit people who dislike pills. They also let makers fit grams of an ingredient into one serving, which a small capsule cannot hold.
The trade-off is the extras: sweeteners, flavors, colors and bulking agents. They are listed under other ingredients, and you drink them every day.
How do you read a powder label?
Start with the serving size in grams and scoops, then find the amount of each active ingredient in that serving.
| Line | Ask |
|---|---|
| Serving size | One scoop or two? How many grams? |
| Servings per container | How many days does the tub last? |
| Active ingredient amounts | Printed one by one, or inside a blend? (21 CFR 101.36, Supplement Facts) |
| Other ingredients | Sweeteners, flavors, fillers you want to avoid |
| Directions | Water amount, time of day, daily maximum |
Do the division yourself. A tub price means little until you know the price per serving.
Does a powder give a higher dose than a capsule?
Often yes. A scoop can carry grams, while a capsule carries hundreds of milligrams.
That matters for amino acids. The citrulline summary from Cleveland Clinic describes 3 to 8 g a day (Cleveland Clinic, L-citrulline). A 500 mg capsule cannot reach that. A powder might, with a taste to match.
A bigger dose is not automatically better. Arginine alone showed no further blood-pressure change above 9 g a day in pooled trials (Shiraseb 2022, arginine and BP), and higher doses raise side-effect risk (NIH ODS, Supplements: What You Need to Know). Mayo and others also warn arginine can add to blood-pressure medicines (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine).

FAQ01
Melonex questions people ask
Are heart health powders safer than capsules?
No source we found says so. Safety depends on the ingredients, the dose and your medicines, not the form. Powders can add sweeteners and flavors, and capsules can add fillers. Read the other ingredients either way.
Can I mix a heart supplement powder with coffee?
Check the label first. Some directions name water only, and heat can change some ingredients. We found no source on mixing amino acids with coffee, so ask a pharmacist if the label is silent.
Does Melonex come in a flavored version?
No. Melonex is sold only as capsules, with a capsule shell of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. The label shows no powder, flavored mix, gummy or liquid. Take one capsule with an 8 oz glass of water.
