FAQ
Melonex Questions Answered: What It Is, Whether It Is Safe, and How to Order
These Melonex questions have short answers. Melonex is a dietary supplement in 60-capsule bottles, with one 500 mg proprietary blend of three amino acid forms and no amounts printed. No study has tested it. Safety depends on your medicines and heart history. Packs cost $49 to $79 a bottle, with a 60-day money-back guarantee.

The basics01
What is Melonex and who sells it?
No question matches. Try another word.
Melonex is a dietary supplement sold as capsules. It is not a medicine, and this site is a seller, not the maker.
Type a word in the box to filter every answer below. Each answer is short on purpose. The longer pages are linked where they help.
What does the name Melonex refer to?
On this site, Melonex means the capsules on the label we read: a white 60-capsule bottle with an ivory and oxblood label, marked Advanced Support. Other products with similar names exist, and we verified nothing about them. For any medicine, ask a pharmacist.
Is Melonex a gummy, powder or liquid?
No. It is a capsule. The shell is hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, and the label lists microcrystalline cellulose and magnesium stearate as other ingredients. We saw no gummy, powder or liquid version.
Is Melonex a medicine?
No. It is a dietary supplement, not a blood pressure medicine, and it is not meant to treat any disease. The FDA does not approve supplements before they are sold (FDA, Q&A on Dietary Supplements). Keep taking any medicine your doctor prescribed.
Is Melonex approved by the FDA?
No, and no supplement is. The FDA does not approve dietary supplements before sale (NIH ODS, Supplements: What You Need to Know). The bottle says it was made in an FDA registered facility. Registration is not approval, and it does not mean the FDA checked the product.
Who makes Melonex?
The maker is not named. The label says it is distributed for Instituto Experience, Lakeland, FL 33804, made in the USA with globally sourced ingredients, in an FDA registered facility. We cannot say more about who fills the capsules.
Who runs this website?
Melonexcardio, the Official U.S. Melonex shop. It is a seller, not the manufacturer or distributor. It earns money from order links. It writes about the label, and a medical reviewer is not named yet. See the about page.
What does Advanced Support on the bottle mean?
It is a brand phrase with no stated meaning. The front shows starred lines for heart, circulation and natural formula, and the star leads to the FDA statement that these lines have not been evaluated by the FDA.
Label and ingredients02
What is in a Melonex capsule?
Each capsule holds one 500 mg proprietary blend of three named amino acid forms. The amounts of the three are not printed.
The order of the names still tells us something. Federal rules list a blend's members from most to least by weight (21 CFR 101.36, Supplement Facts). You can read the full label on the supplement facts page.
| Name on the label | Place | Limit inside 500 mg |
|---|---|---|
| L-Citrulline DL-Malate | First | At least 167 mg, under 500 |
| L-Arginine (Alpha-Ketoglutarate dihydrate) | Second | At most 250 mg |
| L-Arginine HCl | Third | At most 167 mg |
What are the ingredients in Melonex?
One proprietary blend of 500 mg: L-Citrulline DL-Malate, L-Arginine (Alpha-Ketoglutarate dihydrate) and L-Arginine HCl, listed in that order. The other ingredients: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose and magnesium stearate.
What amount of citrulline does one Melonex capsule hold?
The label does not say. It prints only the 500 mg total. By label order, the citrulline malate is at least 167 mg and under 500 mg. That is salt-form weight, so the citrulline itself is less.
Why does Melonex hide the amount of each ingredient?
US rules let a company list a blend's total weight and the member names without giving each amount (21 CFR 101.36, Supplement Facts). The result is that you cannot check the dose against research. The proprietary blend page shows the arithmetic.
Is 500 mg enough to match the studies?
No. Citrulline studies summarized by Cleveland Clinic used 3 to 8 g a day (Cleveland Clinic, L-citrulline). The whole blend is 0.5 g per capsule, or 1 g at two. That is arithmetic, not a verdict on any person.
Does Melonex contain allergens?
No allergen statement is printed, so we cannot call it allergen-free. If you have food or capsule allergies, ask a pharmacist and read the bottle you receive before taking it.
Is there any L-arginine in Melonex?
Yes, in two forms. L-Arginine alpha-ketoglutarate comes second and L-Arginine HCl third. By label order, each is at most 250 mg and 167 mg. Those are salt weights, so the arginine inside is less.
Taking it03
How do you take Melonex capsules?
Take a single capsule each day with an 8 oz glass of water. The label allows up to two a day and does not exceed that.
No time of day and no food rule is printed. The label's own words are quoted below. The how to use page has a daily routine.
As a dietary supplement, take one (1) capsule daily with an 8 oz. glass of water. May take up to two (2) capsules daily.
How many Melonex capsules should I take a day?
The label says take one capsule daily with an 8 oz glass of water, and allows up to two. Do not go above that. If you take blood pressure medicine, ask your doctor before choosing two.
Which time of day is best for taking Melonex?
The label prints no time of day, so no time is required. Pick a time you will remember, such as with breakfast. The label gives no food rule either.
Can I take Melonex on an empty stomach?
The label gives no food rule. Some arginine sources list nausea, stomach pain and bloating as side effects (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine). If your stomach is upset, ask a pharmacist whether to take it with a meal.
How long does one Melonex bottle last?
At one capsule a day a 60-capsule bottle lasts 60 days; at two, it lasts 30. Two bottles are 120 days, three 180 days, and six 360 days at one a day.
What if I miss a Melonex capsule?
The label has no missed-dose rule. Do not double up to catch up, since the label says not to exceed the recommended dose. Take the next capsule on schedule, and ask a pharmacist if unsure.
How should I store Melonex?
Store it in a cool, dry place away from heat, light and humidity. Keep it out of the reach of children. If its safety seal is damaged or missing, do not use it.
Safety04
Is Melonex safe, and who should check with a doctor first?
Safety depends on you. The label asks pregnant or nursing mothers, anyone under 18 and anyone with a known medical condition to consult a physician first.
Three health sources advise against arginine after a heart attack (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine) (MSK, Arginine) (Cleveland Clinic, L-arginine). Several medicines can interact. No safety study of Melonex itself exists.
Never cut back or quit a prescribed medicine because of a supplement (AHA, Managing BP Medications). Chest pain, trouble breathing, fainting, or face, arm or speech changes mean call 911 (AHA, Warning Signs of a Heart Attack) (CDC, Signs and Symptoms of Stroke).
Can Melonex cause side effects?
Possibly. Mayo Clinic lists nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, bloating, gout, headache, allergic reactions and worse asthma for L-arginine (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine). No source reports side effects for Melonex itself, so we cannot give rates.
Is Melonex safe to take after a heart attack?
Three health sources advise against arginine after a heart attack: Mayo Clinic, MSK and Cleveland Clinic. In the VINTAGE MI trial, 6 of 70 arginine patients died versus none on placebo, at about 9 g a day (JAMA 2006, VINTAGE MI trial). Ask your cardiologist.
Is Melonex safe with blood pressure medicine?
Ask first. Mayo Clinic, MSK and Cleveland Clinic all caution about blood pressure medicines with arginine, because both may lower pressure. Do not change a dose by yourself. A pharmacist can check your list.
Does Melonex interact with nitrates, Viagra or blood thinners?
Sources name cautions. Mayo and Cleveland Clinic cite nitrates. Mayo also lists sildenafil-type drugs, potassium-sparing diuretics, blood thinners and diabetes medicines (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine) (Cleveland Clinic, L-arginine). Cleveland lists none for citrulline. Show a pharmacist your full list.
Can pregnant or nursing women take Melonex?
The label says pregnant or nursing mothers should consult a physician before using this or any dietary supplement. The same goes for anyone under 18 and anyone with a known medical condition.
Should I stop Melonex if I feel unwell?
Yes, stop and ask a doctor or pharmacist. You can report a problem to the FDA through MedWatch (FDA, MedWatch). Chest pain, trouble breathing or fainting means call 911, not wait.
Can I stop my blood pressure pill if I take Melonex?
No. The AHA says never cut back or quit blood pressure medicine on your own, even if you feel fine (AHA, Managing BP Medications). Blood pressure has no symptoms, so only a cuff reading shows where you stand (NHLBI, What Is High Blood Pressure).

Does Melonex work, and what does the research say?
No study has tested Melonex, so no one can say it works. The research is on its ingredients alone, at grams a day.
The blend is 500 mg per capsule. That is far below the studied amounts, and the findings are small or mixed. NCCIH says no supplement has been shown to work like blood pressure drugs (NCCIH, Hypertension). The long version is on the benefits page.
Has any study tested Melonex on blood pressure?
We found none. No source tests Melonex or this blend. The studies are about the individual amino acids, usually at grams a day, which is far more than 500 mg.
What did studies of L-arginine alone find?
A pooled analysis of 22 trials found small average drops: systolic 6.40 and diastolic 2.64 mm Hg (Shiraseb 2022, arginine and BP). It found no further change above 9 g a day. That is arginine alone, not Melonex.
Is the evidence for citrulline clear?
No, it is mixed. One analysis found a systolic drop of about 4 mm Hg, and another found no change (Barkhidarian 2019, citrulline and BP) (Mirenayat 2018, citrulline and BP). For exercise, benefit is small and certainty low (Wang 2026, citrulline malate and exercise).
How long until I notice anything with Melonex?
No source gives a time for Melonex. Blood pressure has no symptoms, so you may feel nothing either way. A home cuff is the way to see change. See the results timeline.
Are there customer reviews of Melonex?
No verified reviews are published on this site yet. The review cards are labelled slots, not real reviews. We do not show a star rating or a count. See the reviews page.
Does Melonex have clinical trials behind it?
No. The sales page describes support for heart health and healthy blood pressure without citing studies (Melonex sales page), and no trial of Melonex exists. FTC guidance expects strong evidence for health claims (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance).
