Heart Health Supplements at Costco: Why Per-Day Cost Beats Bottle Price

Quick answer

Heart health supplements at Costco and other warehouse stores are sold in big bottles, so the bottle price misleads. Divide by days of supply instead. Melonex is not sold in stores that we know of. At one capsule a day, its 3-bottle pack is about $1.15 a day and its 6-bottle pack about $0.82.

Why does price per day matter more than price per bottle?

Because bottles hold different numbers of servings. A cheap bottle can cost more per day than a dear one.

Warehouse sizes make this worse. A bottle of 300 looks like a bargain until you learn the serving is three pieces, which makes 100 days of supply.

The fair test uses three numbers: price, servings in the bottle and servings you take a day.

How do you work out the daily cost of a supplement?

Divide the price by the number of servings, then by the servings you take each day. That gives the cost of one day.

Work it with Melonex. A bottle has 60 capsules. At one capsule a day it lasts 60 days. At the label's limit of two it lasts 30 days, so the daily cost doubles.

How many bottles do you need for the months you plan?

Count capsules, not bottles. One capsule a day for 6 months needs about 180 capsules, which is 3 bottles.

The planner finds the cheapest mix of 2, 3 and 6 bottle packs for the months you enter. Use it only after your pharmacist agrees the capsules are fine with your medicines.

You need 3 bottles. The 3-bottle pack covers it for $207 ($69 a bottle).

Does a lower price per day mean a better supplement?

No. Price says nothing about whether it works. No source tests Melonex, and its 500 mg blend is far below study doses of grams a day (Cleveland Clinic, L-citrulline).

Label order means the first name is at least 167 mg, the second at most 250 mg and the third at most 167 mg. A cheap capsule with hidden amounts is still hidden. The pricing page lists the packs, and the guarantee page explains the 60-day money-back terms. The buyer pays return shipping.

Whatever you pay, keep taking prescribed medicine and keep checking your blood pressure with a cuff (AHA, Managing BP Medications) (AHA, Home Blood Pressure Monitoring).

FAQ01

Melonex questions people ask

Does Costco sell Melonex?

We know of no Costco listing for Melonex. It sells through the seller's sales page. A third-party listing may not be a genuine bottle or covered by the guarantee, so buy from the seller and keep your order ID.

Is buying supplements in bulk cheaper?

Per day, often yes, but only if you will use all of it. Check the label for storage advice: keep supplements away from heat, light and humidity. Buying six months of anything you have never tried is a risk.

What does the Melonex 60-day guarantee mean for cost?

It offers a refund within 60 days, and the seller also asks for at least 30 days of continuous use. The buyer pays return shipping. Confirm the live terms at checkout before you pick a pack.
