What Is in the Melonex Formula? Reading One Label Line
The Melonex formula is one line on the Supplement Facts: Proprietary Blend, 500 mg per capsule. It names L-citrulline DL-malate, L-arginine alpha-ketoglutarate and L-arginine HCl, in that order. Label rules put the first name at 167 mg or more, the second at 250 mg or less and the third at 167 mg or less.

What does the Melonex formula list?
The formula is a single listed blend: Proprietary Blend, 500 mg, serving size one capsule, 60 servings a bottle.
Under it sit three names: L-Citrulline DL-Malate, L-Arginine (Alpha-Ketoglutarate dihydrate) and L-Arginine HCL. None of them has an amount on the label. The other ingredients are the capsule shell, microcrystalline cellulose and magnesium stearate. No allergen statement is printed.
The front says "Advanced Support" with three starred lines. The sales page calls the product "targeted nutritional support for heart health, healthy blood pressure, and overall cardiovascular wellness" and cites no studies (Melonex sales page).
How does label order cap each amino acid?
US rules list the names inside a blend from the heaviest to the lightest (21 CFR 101.36, Supplement Facts). That order lets us do simple arithmetic.
The blend weighs 500 mg and has three names. The heaviest cannot weigh less than a third of it, so the first is at least 167 mg. The second cannot outweigh the first, so it is at most 250 mg. The third is the lightest, so it is at most 167 mg.
| Position | Name | Limit per capsule |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | L-Citrulline DL-Malate | 167 mg or more, under 500 mg |
| 2 | L-Arginine alpha-ketoglutarate | 250 mg or less |
| 3 | L-Arginine HCl | 167 mg or less |

Bars show the widest range the label order allows for each name (21 CFR 101.36, Supplement Facts). The real split is not printed.
Is that the amount of actual citrulline and arginine?
No. Each name is a salt form, so the weight includes the partner molecule, and the actual citrulline or arginine is less.
Citrulline is joined to malic acid. Arginine is joined to alpha-ketoglutarate, or to hydrochloride. We do not state an actual amount, because the label gives none. Our limits are ceilings and floors, not contents.
The Supplement Facts page shows the panel line by line, and the ingredients page covers each name.

See packsHow does the formula compare with study amounts?
Studies use grams a day, and the whole blend is 500 mg, so the formula sits far below them.
- Citrulline: 3 to 8 g a day in one summary of studies (Cleveland Clinic, L-citrulline).
- Arginine alpha-ketoglutarate: 4 g per dose, 12 g a day, in a 35-man sports trial (Campbell 2006, L-arginine AKG trial).
- Arginine alone: pooled trials found small average drops in blood pressure, with no further change above 9 g a day (Shiraseb 2022, arginine and BP).
Even two capsules a day, the label limit, would hold at most 1,000 mg of blend. No trial has tested Melonex, so none of these results is a result for it. A supplement is not a blood-pressure medicine, so keep taking any prescribed medicine and ask your pharmacist about interactions.

FAQ01
Melonex questions people ask
Does the Melonex formula list how much of each ingredient it has?
No. The label prints one blend total of 500 mg and three names, and no amount for any of them. US rules allow this for blends, so only the order of the names tells you anything about the split.
Is Melonex a gummy, powder or liquid?
No. It is a dietary supplement in capsules, sold in a white 60-capsule bottle. We found no gummy, powder or drop form on the label or the sales page.
Can two capsules a day reach the studied amounts?
No. Two capsules hold at most 1,000 mg of blend, while the studies we cite used grams a day of a single ingredient. The hidden split makes the gap even wider.
