Melonex Ingredients List, Read Name by Name
The Melonex ingredients list has three active names inside one 500 mg Proprietary Blend: L-Citrulline DL-Malate, L-Arginine (Alpha-Ketoglutarate dihydrate) and L-Arginine HCl. Three other ingredients make the capsule. The label prints no amount for any single name, but its order of weight sets firm limits.

What is on the Melonex ingredients list?
The Melonex label lists six ingredients: three amino acid forms in a blend, and three capsule extras.
The Supplement Facts panel has a single line, Proprietary Blend, 500 mg. Under it sit the three names. A capsule is one serving, and a bottle holds 60.
The panel does not print how much of each name is inside. Only the 500 mg total is given. The order of the names still tells you a lot. See the Supplement Facts page.
- 1L- Citrulline dl - Malate167 mg or more of the 500 mg blend
- 2L-Arginine (Alpha-Ketoglutarate dihydrate)under 250 mg of the 500 mg blend
- 3L - Arginine HCLunder 167 mg of the 500 mg blend
From the Supplement Facts panel, in label order. The label prints 500 mg for the whole Proprietary Blend and no amount for any name, so the limits shown come from the order alone. Other ingredients (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose capsule, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate) are not part of the blend.
Why does the order of the names matter?
The order matters because US rules list the names inside a blend from the heaviest to the lightest (21 CFR 101.36, Supplement Facts).
The same rule lets a label show only the blend total, so each single amount may stay hidden.
Now do the sum. With 500 mg and three names, the first name must weigh more than the other two. The table turns that rule into limits.
| Position | Name | Weight limit |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | L-Citrulline DL-Malate | At least 167 mg, under 500 mg |
| 2 | L-Arginine (Alpha-Ketoglutarate dihydrate) | At most 250 mg |
| 3 | L-Arginine HCl | At most 167 mg |
These are salt-form weights. The actual citrulline or arginine in each is smaller. They are limits, not amounts.
What else is in the capsule besides the blend?
The label names three other ingredients: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose and magnesium stearate.
Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose is the capsule shell. The other two are listed as other ingredients. We read no source about them, so this post makes no claim about what they do.
The label prints no allergen statement. That is not the same as saying the capsule is free of allergens. If you have an allergy, ask the order desk or a pharmacist before you buy.

See packsHow does the list compare with what studies use?
Studies of these names use grams a day, while the whole Melonex blend is 500 mg.
Citrulline trials ran 3 to 8 g a day (Cleveland Clinic, L-citrulline). A sports trial of the arginine alpha-ketoglutarate form gave 4 g per dose, or 12 g a day (Campbell 2006, L-arginine AKG trial). One capsule is half a gram in total, so even two capsules fall far short of those amounts.
No source tests Melonex itself. Read the list as a description of the label, not a promise. The 500 mg blend page has the full arithmetic. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use, especially with blood pressure medicine, and keep taking what you are prescribed. The FDA has not evaluated these statements.

FAQ01
Melonex questions people ask
How many ingredients are in Melonex?
The label lists six ingredients: three amino acid forms in the 500 mg Proprietary Blend, and three capsule ingredients (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose and magnesium stearate). Only the blend total is printed, not the amount of each name.
Does Melonex list the amount of L-citrulline?
No. The label prints only the 500 mg blend total. Label order shows citrulline malate is first, so it weighs at least 167 mg as a salt, but the actual citrulline inside that salt is less. No exact amount is printed.
Is there an allergen warning on the Melonex label?
No allergen statement is printed on the label we read. That does not prove the capsule is free of allergens. If you have a known allergy, check with the order desk or a pharmacist before ordering.
