Melonex vs a Single Amino Acid Product: Which Label Tells You More?
In a Melonex vs single amino acid comparison, the biggest difference is the label. Melonex prints one 500 mg blend of three names and no amounts. A single-ingredient product can print one amount per serving. Studies used 3 to 8 g a day of citrulline, so 0.5 g per capsule is small beside them.

How does Melonex compare with a single-ingredient L-arginine product?
Melonex combines three amino acid forms in one 500 mg blend. A single-ingredient product has one name and, usually, one amount.
Two of Melonex's three names are arginine forms, so the capsule leans on arginine twice.
A single-ingredient bottle is simpler to judge: read the amount and compare it with a study. With a blend you cannot, because the split is hidden.
We found no study that tests Melonex at all.
Which label shows more, a blend or a single amino acid?
A single amino acid label usually shows more, because it can list one amount. A blend label may print only the total.
US rules let a blend show only the combined weight, with names in descending order (21 CFR 101.36, Supplement Facts). Melonex uses that route.

How do the doses compare with what studies used?
The studies used grams a day. One Melonex capsule holds a 0.5 g blend, and two hold 1 g.
Cleveland Clinic summarizes citrulline at 3 to 8 g a day (Cleveland Clinic, L-citrulline). One trial gave arginine alpha-ketoglutarate at 4 g per dose and 12 g a day to 35 men (Campbell 2006, L-arginine AKG trial). Arginine alone showed small average blood pressure drops across 22 trials, mostly at several grams a day (Shiraseb 2022, arginine and BP).
The label order caps the second name at 250 mg and the third at 167 mg per capsule. The first is at least 167 mg.
This is arithmetic, not a verdict. The 500 mg blend page has the full math.

See packsShould I choose a blend or a single amino acid?
Neither choice is a treatment. Pick on what you can verify, and ask your doctor or pharmacist before you start.
Arginine carries real cautions. Mayo Clinic, MSK and Cleveland Clinic advise against it after a heart attack, and it can add to blood-pressure medicines (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine) (MSK, Arginine) (Cleveland Clinic, L-arginine). That holds whether the arginine is in a blend or alone.
Keep taking prescribed medicine, because no supplement has been shown comparable to blood-pressure drugs (NCCIH, Hypertension). Chest pain or stroke signs mean call 911.

FAQ01
Melonex questions people ask
Is Melonex stronger than a single L-arginine capsule?
We cannot say. Melonex hides the amount of each name inside a 500 mg blend, so it cannot be set against a printed single-ingredient dose. No trial has tested Melonex.
Is citrulline better than arginine in a supplement?
No source we read says so. Citrulline results for blood pressure are mixed: one analysis found a small systolic drop and another found no change. Arginine alone showed small average drops.
Can I take Melonex with a separate arginine supplement?
Ask your doctor or pharmacist first. Melonex already holds two arginine forms, and sources warn that arginine can add to blood-pressure medicines. The label says not to exceed the recommended dose, which is one capsule, up to two.
