Top Blood Pressure Supplements: A Six-Point Score You Can Use on Any Label
Top blood pressure supplements is a phrase without a fair ranking, because no head-to-head trial exists and no supplement matches blood pressure drugs (NCCIH, Hypertension). A six-point label score works better. Each point is checked on the bottle itself: printed amounts, dose against study doses, testing, interactions, daily cost and honest claims.

Why can no one honestly rank the top blood pressure supplements?
No one can, because ranking needs a fair test, and none exists. Nobody has run the same trial on every product.
The NIH says no dietary supplement has been shown to work like blood pressure drugs (NCCIH, Hypertension).
A "top 10" list is therefore an opinion, often paid for. The FTC expects health claims to rest on solid human testing, not on a ranking (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance).
What are the six points to score on a supplement label?
Give each point 0, 1 or 2. A perfect label scores 12.
| Point | 2 points | 0 points |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Amounts printed | Every ingredient has its own mg | One blend total only |
| 2. Dose vs studies | Per-day mg matches trial doses | Far below trial doses |
| 3. Product trial | A published trial of this exact product | None found |
| 4. Outside testing | Third-party mark you can look up (USP, Verification Program) | Only a seller's seal |
| 5. Interaction warnings | Clear, specific cautions | Generic wording only |
| 6. Cost per day | Stated and easy to work out | Hidden or shifting |
How do Melonex capsules score on the six points?
Melonex capsules score low on points 1 to 3 and better on 5 and 6. The Supplement Facts show one line, "Proprietary Blend 500 mg", with three names.
US rules list blend members from heaviest to lightest (21 CFR 101.36, Supplement Facts). So the first name, L-citrulline DL-malate, weighs at least 167 mg. The second, L-arginine AKG, weighs at most 250 mg. The third, L-arginine HCl, weighs at most 167 mg. Those are salt weights, so the amino acid itself is less.
Studies of citrulline use 3 to 8 g a day (Cleveland Clinic, L-citrulline). That is 3,000 to 8,000 mg. Two capsules hold 1,000 mg of the whole blend.
Points 3 and 4 are zeros: we found no trial of Melonex, and no lab report is published. Cost per day is stated, about $0.82 to $1.32 at one capsule a day on the pricing page.

See packsWhat should you do with a score once you have it?
Treat a low score as a reason to ask questions, not as a verdict. Take it to your doctor or pharmacist.
Ask whether the ingredients clash with your medicines. Mayo Clinic lists blood pressure medicines among the possible interactions with L-arginine (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine). Never stop or cut back a prescribed medicine because of a supplement (AHA, Managing BP Medications).
A cuff reading is the real score for blood pressure. Chest pain, trouble breathing, fainting, or sudden face, arm or speech changes need a 911 call. The FDA has not evaluated supplement statements.

FAQ01
Melonex questions people ask
What is the top blood pressure supplement?
No supplement holds that title on evidence. The NIH says none has been shown to work like blood pressure drugs. Score labels yourself on printed amounts, dose, testing and interactions, then ask your pharmacist before you buy.
Can a blood pressure supplement replace my medicine?
No. The American Heart Association says never cut back or quit a prescribed blood pressure medicine on your own, even when you feel fine. A supplement is not a substitute, so tell your doctor about anything you add.
